True Encounters With Angels

TRUE ENCOUNTERS WITH ANGELS
Some people believe that angels are all around us, watching over us, protecting us and delivering messages from God. While others think that angels are simply created from the faith or imagination of those desiring to believe in a higher power.
Whether someone believes in angels or not, depends greatly on their belief in the Bible and in a supreme power. And, while angels are very interesting supernatural beings, they’re also greatly misunderstood. Their exact purpose/roles in our lives and even their appearances often vary.
One common misconception is that we too can become angels when we die. The Bible states that God created angels as separate beings, beings that are quite different from humans. Angels were created to praise God and bestowed with great wisdom, power and given individual freedom.
Angels are mentioned hundreds of times throughout the Bible and appeared many times. An angel told the virgin Mary she was with child. An angel announced the birth of Jesus, ministered to him when he fasted for 40 days and even gave him strength as he prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Angels are spiritual creatures and have spiritual bodies. They can take on the appearance of many things, but usually appear to us in a human form. And, while angels are messengers of God, the fact that one third of all the angels in heaven were cast out with Lucifer, proves they have free will and can make their own decisions.
Even though our knowledge of angels originates from the Bible, angels still play an important role in modern times. Many people even today, have had personal encounters with an angel. In some cases, the angels appear as magnificent winged creatures and in others they look just like everyone else. But, have no doubt they are watching over us all the time.
The results of a survey revealed that about 71 percent of American’s do believe in angels, although only about one third say they have had an encounter with an angel. In one true angel story, a lost 2 year old was safely carried to his front door by angels. He told his parents that he wasn’t afraid because the angels said they would protect him.
One pregnant women had an ultra sound that revealed two heads. Thinking she was having twins, she was quite surprised when only one baby was born. But, the baby was 3 months premature and had to remain in the hospital under nurses care. When a picture of the baby was taken, an angel was beside with her. Could her angel have been in the womb with her the whole time?
In yet another true angel encounter, two women were in a basement cleaning out the belongings of a deceased friend. A brightly lit, white figure appeared in the middle of the basement, pointed toward a door and told them to get out! When they returned, the basement had fallen in.
Whether it’s a rescue from a life threatening situation or just a comforting spirit in a time of need, angels are often there right when you need them. But, you may not always see them, an angel could just simply be that soft voice in the back of your mind, you know, that little voice we’d rather call intuition!

One thing I remember reading in the Bible was where we are told that we should be careful on how we treat strangers because sometimes we are entertaining Angels unaware. I reworded it a bit there but the meaning is the same. This would indicate that Angels do sometimes appear as humans.

Many people gain a lot of comfort from their belief in Angels at various stages in their lives. Sadly when in good times we tend to forget this. This excellent article has a special relevance for me at this point in my life, and I would like to thank you for rejuvinating my belief in their existence.
I definitely believe, we entertain angels unaware. Maybe that stranger that stopped to help you change a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, could have been an angel. And, I do believe that what we usually chock up to intuition, can be an angel warning you of some danger.
I had some friends years ago, that were driving along late one night on their way home. It was an ordinary trip, until, the man who was driving heard a voice from the back seat. The voice said, “get in the other lane”!
Well, you’re not going to want to just drive in the wrong lane in the first place, but they were approaching a curve which made it even worse. The voice kept insisting and finally the man got onto the other side of the road to go around the curve.
As they went around the curve, another car came around the curve on the other side of the road! If he had not listened to the voice, they would have been hit head on! By listening to the voice of what I believe was definitely a guardian angel, he saved his family from being hurt and may killed.

To caretaker’s first comment that does make you think we have our own angels but when we are mean to other people we are annoying or upsetting their angels!

After YEARS of struggling to understand personal experiences, and the many questions I have of faith, God, angels and the spirit world, I have come to the conclusion that:
Angels are spiritual beings, intercessors between God and man/earth. They were never human and never will be human. Some people might confuse a positive ghost spirit encounter with an angelic encounter. But just like in the hushed tale from the bible about the angels who chose human wives on earth, there are children of the spirit angels, half man and half angel, who were and are born and do still walk the earth. They can look just like you and I, but they are different, special. Yes, an angel can be a “guardian angel”, but our days are numbered, and as such, sometimes the divine and sons of God will not intervene in tragedy or mayhem that afflicts the world. As angels are spiritual beings, they can take any form. Most often when interacting with humans they will take a pleasing human shape to not frighten them. There are also stories of them as being seen as bright or coloured light, or very large human shapes with wings. Winged humans have been seen for centuries, throughout history. The bible is filled with hundreds of accounts of angelic interactions. My eldest son, when he was about 1-2 years old, would interact with things unseen by me when he was in his crib. He would smile up at the ceiling and his eyes would follow something, he would coo, and laugh and say yes. Recently I asked him about this, to see if he remembered. He said he did, and I asked him to draw what he saw. He very clearly drew pleasant winged beings up above a bed. When I showed him ancient artworks of cherubim, he was surprised. It was very similar. My family’s encounters with angelic beings may have been shocking, but they have been positive. I will leave my own encounters with angels for another time
