MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCES – OTHER DIMENSIONS
PART ONE – ORION WILLIAMSON
Is our world really three-dimensional? Or are there portals which spiral us unwillingly into other dimensions?
Reports of people mysteriously disappearing in view of witnesses are worldwide; one of the most noted is that of Orion Williamson.
July 1854, newspapers all over the USA reported, ‘A Man Has Vanished Into Thin Air’. This alarming headline was written after extensive searches were made for Orion Williamson after he disappeared at his Selma, Alabama farm in full view of four witnesses.
Williamson was enjoying a leisurely break from his work in the fields and was smoking a cigar on the veranda of his home. His wife and child were by his side as they all observed the slaves working in a field over the road from their land. Suddenly, he remembered that he needed to pass on a message to the overseer of the slaves. He turned to his wife and said, ‘I forgot to tell Andrew about the horses.’
His wife and child watched as Williamson walked across the lawn which stretched some fifty yards ahead.
Williamson was seen picking a flower before crossing the road and entering the pasture, which led to a further field where the slaves were working.
During this time, a neighbour of Williamson’s, Armour Wren, was riding in his buggy along the road with his son James at his side. James pointed out Williamson to his father, but just as this happened one of the horses pulling the buggy stumbled and Armour Wren lost sight of Williamson for a few seconds. At that moment James cried out, ‘why father, what has become of Mr Williamson?’ Mr Wren looked up and could no longer see Williamson. They all dashed to the spot were Williamson disappeared. Williamson’s wife ran with her child in her arms to join them - crying out that he just disappeared. She was apparently frantic and kept repeating how could such a thing happen.
News spread quickly to the town’s people and some three hundred men joined in the search, but it was futile, there was no sign of Orion Williamson.
Later, a team of geologists were brought in to investigate the field and dig it over, all in an attempt to discover if the ground below was in any way unusual. Nothing was found.
Reporters and sightseers flocked to the spot and the news spread over America of the mysterious disappearance.
During this time Mrs Willamson suffered a breakdown as she and her son heard Williamson’s ghostly cries coming from the field…until after a few weeks they were no longer heard.
Once the matter entered the courthouse, it was decided that Mr Williamson could only be stated as deceased and his estate was dealt with according to law.
So what happened to this unfortunate man? Did he slip into another dimension, or could this have been alien abduction?

I believe this was a slip to another dimension…hmm or maybe UFO’s. This kinda reminds me of Mel Waters Hole.
A man apparently had a hole in his land up in Washington (Don’t quote me exactly where I need to research this again) and this hole was said to be about 9 feet wide in Diameter…I dunno again, exactly but this hole was used for dumping. The funny thing is according to this man, it had an “Infinite” Depth. I mean people would throw trash and sometimes like, old Refridgerators and stuff and never hear the actual hit of the disposed junk at the bottom. It was also said that it brought animals back to life, he said that a hunter said he had thrown his dead dog down the hole and a couple days later found the same dog hunting with somebody else.
There’s alot more to this story…He talke about getting kicked out of his own land by the government and was paid to live in Australia for a while, and they never let him back to his property. I believe he also said that he found another hole (or more like Native Americans) showed him another hole in Nevada and this hole was like his, They did an experiment and lowered a lamb/sheep alive into the hole and when they brought it back up it was dead, and when they cut it open , they claimed that the inside of the sheep (The meat) Was cooked but internally, no outer signs, and then they found a Big Tumor in the sheep, and when they cut it open, the found (and you won’t believe this) They found a baby Seal…with human eyes.
There’s alot more to this bizzarre story. Alot more I want to research and share with you all.

lol I’ve been here, I just hadn’t said much. Which is weird because when I saw this article I had just been looking to Mel Waters for a couple of days now. I mean my friend is really into “The Supernatural” and when I’m around him, I’m like a sponge, I learn so many things and my eyes open up to different beliefs and other peoples experiences and it’s just wow. But when he told me about Mel Waters a long time ago I was like WOW. I need to look this guy up. There’s alot more about this story, a lot more that has to do with the government and people believing that this hole is a path to a different dimension. he’s learned that the Native Americans had and Have much knowledge. But I’ll do some extensive research to let you know

I’ve heard of this story before, but couldn’t remember the guy’s name. There are alot of other cases of people vanishing into thin air also! I totally beleive that there is a hole or something where we can disappear into another dimension, kind of scary, I wonder where you go? Wasn’t there one guy who did dissapear like that, then he reappeared several years later with no memory of where he was?

This is what I got so far: (I’ll site the articles at the end of this summary even though I have to look into it a bit more)
Mel Waters Hole is said to be in Manastach Washington near Ellensburg Washington. Both are small towns. Mel found that this hole was excess of 15 miles Deep. He determined this by spooling out 18 reels of 20 lb test fishing line, they were tied end to end into the hole. He also stated that he attached a “Trangular, one pound, standard lead fish weight” to the end of the line and he never touched bottom. He also claimed the hole had the power to resurrect dead animals. He got this story from a guy he knew who claimed he threw his dead dogs body into the hole and happened to see the same dog hunting with someone else days later. Mel also speculated that the hole might be tied to certain cosmological events, including “unspecified alignments with the moon” It was said that sometimes a black beam of light would come out of the hole, most animal life feared being or getting near the hole. Mel claimed he took his dogs and that they would dig their feet into the ground when he’d try to pull them. Apparently though Mel wasn’t the only one who witnessed the hole. A man named Red Elk claimed to have visted the hole with his Father in 1961 as a young boy and apparently knew alot about the hole. Another man, Jay Nickell who lived in Ellensburg said he remembed exploring Manastash Ridge as a teenager and coming across a hole that fits what Mel has described.
The hole is said to looke similar to a well that’s about 9 feet in Diameter there’s walling around the hole and above it just like a well
Well on February 21st 1997 Mel appears as a guest in Coast to Coast Radio with Art Bell and Tells his bizarre tale.
After this radio appearance Mel goes back to his property only to find that it is sealed off by Government officials who advise him that there is a plane crash and he cannot enter his property. Mel demands they let him in, they threaten Mel by saying they’d report he ran a meth lab because Mel grows and works with herbs and medicine. So they proposition him after much convincing, offering him 250,000 a month to, I guess in other words “Rent out” his property, and they relocate him to Australia upon his request. He spends most of his time doing Wombat research and funding (with the money given to him) for research on Wombats.
Mel later comes back to the states to help his nephew move, and on an extensive trip he is basically stopped by government officals who say they just want to question him and offer him a ride to his destination when they’re through.
Unfortunately for Mel that’d be the last thing he’d remember because he wakes up in an Alley in Sanfrisco beaten up with his 2 back molars missing and evidence that he probably had an ivy in his arm and he notices his belt buckle stolen too. He calls up his nephew and somehow gets a bus ride back to a small town near his property. Upon arriving, he realizes that all the money the government had paid him was gone, and somehow he was no longer the owner of the property due to some changes the government did and some divorce papers, the government siezes Mels monthly allowance and leaves him on his own.
While in a small town he notices a man wearing a buckle similar to the one that was stolen. It is said that one of Mel’s hobbies was being a medalist and making jewelery. He asks the man if he can see the belt buckle because Mel is curious as to why the government stole it. Upon close inspection he notices a dime with Franklin Roosevelt on it dated before his death. Mel apparently made 10 of these belt buckles with this dime on each. He said he found the dimes on his property. So they take the buckle to a coin collector who offers them a large sum of money. The man says he’ll think about it and days later is visited by government officials who confiscate the belt.
Mel Waters talks to a local Native American Tribe, and they state they know of a hole and have known about it since the 1800 located in Nevada. So curiousity strikes Mel and he goes to Nevada to investigate. When he finally sees the hole the Native Americans describe, he finds it’s a bit different from the one he had on his property. This hole, has a lining of metal in it. But the metal is not like any other metal. This metal can’t be detented and when hit makes no sound. The metal also radiated heat but the metal itself was not hot. Mel and these men decide to experiment with it. They first get bags of ice, they put some ice in a bucket and attach it to a wench. They lower the bucket down the hole about 15,000 ft. What they do then is wait until the ice they have with them on the surface melts halfway. They then pull the ice back up. The ice didn’t melt at all and when they touch it it isn’t cold or wet. They then try to melt the ice by putting it over a fire that they had going and the ice just catches fire.
When they tried that they decided to go a bit deeper into the experient so they put a sheep (Alive, mind you) in a box and lower it down to see what happens. After lowering it for about 30 minutes. They bring the sheep back up and discover it’s dead. When they bring the sheep up they cut him open and instead of finding normal organs, what they find is a giantic tumor that takes up the sheeps entire body, When they cut the tumor open inside they what looks like a baby seal with human eyes. The baby seal then falls out of the tumor and “intelligently” looks at the men conducting this experiement. The men then sit there examining the seal in awe for about two hours . They then proceed to put the seal on the edge of the hole, the seal looks at them one more time before hopping back into the hole.
That is where my research is up to so far.

I haven’t had a chance to read what looks like a fascinating post from Abby yet, although I most certainly will. My comment is in regard to the story of Orion Williamson. It is listed as a case in a book called “Strange Disappearances “years ago………..although not as well written as your article, eyepriestess. Just love getting these in my mailbox, truly I do.
I’m not sure about alien abduction………..just haven’t really seen enough evidence to suit me. But I do believe in other dimensions. I think there are portals everywhere…..no matter how many times you read of debunking the Bermuda Triangle being a vortex………..there are still so many things about it that can’t be explained.
I firmly believe in other dimensions besides this one. A man disappeared, literally into thin air. I don’t think he died though. It was over 100 years ago, and I can’t see him being alive now…..but I do believe he was trapped. So many of these portals appear to be one way….once he was on the other side of it there was no way out.

It’s sad that the man just vanished,. What makes me sad about it strangely enough is that he vanished after plucking a flower, that just makes me think he was a nice man. Talking about Orion by the way

i know, i feel sorry for this man and others that its happened to. you know sometimes i cant help but wonder if the things that “go bump in the night” and spirits/ghosts that we encounter are actually trapped, are alive and are looking for a way out or for their families and we cant hear them or understand them because of where they are. its such a scary thought.
Abby, ive read what you posted and that is so crazy. just imagine falling in a black hole that never ends, how terrible. for those peoples sake i hope they end up somewhere better and are looking for their family to join them.
Yeah, it’s really creepy…like…about the ghosts and stuff…I have a theory that, maybe the Past Present and Future are like realities lined up against eachother, the past and present practically bleeding into eachother, and maybe that’s why we see ghosts…like have you heard those stories where ghosts just repeat over and over a certain thing, whether it was something they did while they were alive, or maybe just re-occuring the night they died…maybe what we see when we see that , its like a “past thing” to us…but maybe to them, “the past” is really their present. Get what I’m saying? like basically all are existing realities..kinda like lining two TVs up and putting on 2 of the same DVDS in them and you start one 10 minutes before the other, and once you’re half way through the first one, you’re still seeing earlier parts of the movie from the second one…you know what I mean?
I’mna shut up now, I sound insane. I’m not really a conspiracy theorist, but I’m not a skeptic, I just crave Knowledge and I’m very curious, I believe in time travel, (crossing that bleeding line I mentioned above) I believe in different dimensions (even thinking that that’s exactly what the past present and future are, just different dimensions, maybe with different outcomes, sorda like the butterfly effect. Maybe all these different realities exist with all the different decisons we could have made, being made right now, in again some other dimension)
I mean, I don’t buy into ALL I hear, but there’s some crazy unexplained interesting things out there. And here in the USA? I know for a fact that we have a government who likes to hide anything and everything from us. Like Roswell Area 51 (was it?) Aliens, I believe exist. I just think they’re a really evolved form of us.
There’s alot of questions as to what, how, and where…but….(my friend once told me this) but no one really concerned with what we should be concerned with most…The WHY…

Hi Abby, I’ve been pretty ill with a horrid ear infection, so have kept off here more than i’d liked to have.
That’s a pretty remarkable theory there about the past present and future blending together. When you look through a telescope into space it is all the past merging with our world, so you probably have a valid point there.
Area 51 is something i only found out about a couple of years ago, mainly because i wasn’t that interested in UFO’s until then. I read of a similar story where there was a man, I think he was a butcher, who claimed he could quickly run a particular distance from one town to the next. He dressed for the run, and two other gentlemen followed in a horse&carriage. Nothing unusual happened for a while, then suddenly the man running tripped and fell, and completly disappeared. The men following him witnessed the fall, but upon closer examination they found nothing. He was never seen again. So in review, there is this guy running over a dirt road that is used daily by many people, and he is the only person to fall into “nowhere.” I read another story similar to that, and the victim was never seen again.
I like to believe that the earth is a safe place, and people don’t just disappear…, sounds like a “B” grade movie. Very scary if it is true. What else is there?
If NASA can send men to the moon, then what is stopping us from exploring a hole in the ground?
You know I just had an idea. Let’s make a probe that can measure, distance fallen, temperature, other geological data if possible, and its own lighted video, and whatever else they think of, and do this job right…, and put a transmitter on it that can be followed by a satellite. We might be mapping a way into a world underneath this world.
I can’t accept a hole in the ground goes to another dimension. It might go into an underground river that goes God knows where. The part of the story I just read that didn’t make sense was this family hearing him call for weeks after he fell in. At the very least he would need water to stay alive. Think about it. We can lay a intercontinental phone cable from Europe to America. How many thousands of miles is that? What is 15 miles compared to that? Why didn’t they save that man?
The “running man” story is even harder to believe. There wasn’t even a hole in the ground. He just fell and disappeared…, and there were two witnesses. Maybe this was a hoax so this man could escape the Law. Perhaps he had creditors that were going to take everything he owned and then put him in prison just out of spite.
I can believe in a lot of things, but living flesh and blood people don’t just vanish into thin air. There must be a logical explanation.
