MY NIECE’S GHOST – A TRUE GHOST STORY
This true ghost story I am about to tell you concerns mainly two members of my family.
My thoughts that paranormal activity may have been to blame for this started when my father went back to the house, situated in Devon to check for mail. On his return, he had some very alarming news to tell us.
During his visit to that house, the old lady who was now living there after her son and daughter-in-law refused to live there any more after buying it from my family, told him what had been going on.
The lady started off by asking my father if he had ever had anything strange happen in the house before they sold it to her son and his wife. He answered, ‘not that I am aware of’ (if I can point out here, my father worked away all of the time, with very brief times of leave). The lady went on to describe that when her son and his wife had bought the house off my father, her son very quickly developed mental problems which affected his ability to work and function in normal day to day life. He also turned from a happy go lucky person into moody and sometimes nasty and aggressive, which was not his normal demeanour in any way.
The old lady told him that her son had never before had any mental problems or any interest whatsoever in the paranormal and was therefore very shocked when he told her he was sure there was something evil in the house, which made its presence known only to him. He eventually asked for her help – knowing that she had practised dowsing as a hobby at certain times during her life.
During her dowsing investigation, high energy areas were detected at the top of the stairs and in the bedroom with a chimney breast…especially in the chimney area.
The lady told my father, she became even more concerned when the house her son and his wife had scrimped and saved to put a deposit on was no longer somewhere they wished to reside. Soon after telling her this, they moved out and into pokey rented accommodation above a shop. The son’s mental state returned to a somewhat normal level, but the effects had an effect on their relationship, which she feared would be irretrievable.
In order to help her son and his wife, the lady offered to buy the house from them. She moved in some time later and continued her investigation. After repeatedly receiving signals of high energy levels around the chimney breast area, she decided to have the chimney checked out. It was discovered that a gooey substance was clinging to the walls of the chimney. She had this cleaned off and hoped that this was somehow the cause of the high readings, however the energy levels still remained high.
The conversation ended there, with my father telling her he would ask his family if they had experienced anything and that he would be back to let her know.
Before my father relayed this story to my family, he explained that he had visited the old lady and was told some paranormal activity had taken place, but before he said anything further, he would like to know if they had experienced anything strange in the house.
My sister and mother told him about my sister’s three-year-old daughter who would sometimes refuse to go into her bedroom, which was the room where the chimney breast was located. And on one occasion she would not go up the stairs. When my sister questioned her daughter about this, she said that she couldn’t go up as the boy was stood there. Her mum (my sister) said there is no one there, but she insisted there was.
When my sister and mother questioned her about this and asked who the boy was, she answered quite calmly under the circumstances, ‘the little boy is called Lucifer.’
I know the name Lucifer sounds far-fetched and could discredit this story, but my niece has no knowledge of anything paranormal and certainly does not know that name. It was quite shocking to hear and led me to further investigate other people’s paranormal experiences.
Whether you believe this story or not, I can only tell you that my mother and sister are so dysfunctional now, that they fight all the time and still do to this day, when before they lived in that house there was none of this.
Although I never lived in that house as I had recently married when they moved in, I do think whatever was in there, and probably still is there, has affected my family to a very large degree. I will point out that I have never had a paranormal experience, but I do believe my family completely.
My husband was very shocked to hear about the old lady who lives in that house, telling this true ghost story and then for my sister to say what she said before she knew which rooms the activity had taken place in, he is now wondering himself and he is one very sceptical person.
We only discovered all this a few months ago, therefore I cannot update now as my father has not yet re-visited the old lady. However, we are interested to discover more about this, but it could take some time. I will keep you informed.

If that little boy was Lucifer in disguise, then he was trying to cause turmoil and hard feelings amonst the husband and wife,the slime they found in the chimmeny is definatly paranormal, do you have any history of the house, when it was built, who lived there before?
Whether it was Lucifer or not, I definately think there was some evil energy in that house. The old lady is very brave to stay there.
That goo you mention is very weird, the old lady ought to have had a sample taken.
You hear all the time of families becoming dysfunctional when bad energies are present, but it’s harldy surprising.
Will look forward to updates if you can get hold of them and the age of the house like Karen asked.
Fascinating story! This really gave me the chills. Especially when the little girl saying the boy she saw was called Lucifer. Now I realize children have imaginations, but with everything else going on, I think this little girl was told this by the boy.
I have seen spirits all my life, and I know it can be so frightening, especially when you don’t know what it is exactly that you’re dealing with. But with the dysfunction of the family in question, and all of the other evidence, it sounds very negative.
I will be praying for this situation every day, and I do hope you’re able to keep us posted. I agree,eyepriestess, a sample of the substance should have been taken.
Eyepriestess,, I want to ask you since this is your speciality, why is it that in all poltergiest activity there is always a slime or goo? I have heard of this happening several times, I would would of movd out a soon as possible too! I also heard of a story from someone where the ghost or what ever it was , was trying to possesse the owner and shortly after he moved out he seemed normal again.
yes an update on the homes history would be great. I often “feel” when there is something negative in my home…everyone starts to fight alot and we get very hostile with eachother. i try and remember to send “it” a message through my thoughts for “it” to back off.

Rebecca, it’s because this isn’t the first story that I’ve heard where there was a presence of goo or slime on the walls, We had people that lived down the road from us who also had an experience with that type of substance too.
I believe u Karen m, I’m just curious what it means exactly. I’ve read stories that mentioned the goo, I just haven’t the slightest idea what it would mean or represent.
I’m no expert on why there is goo Karen, i’m just like all of you, I don’t know the answers either. Infact i typed ‘why is there slime in poltergeist hauntings’ in google and all that came up were stories where slime was around.
Rebecca, I wonder whether it’s some kind of ectoplasm substance, which spirits manifest when trying to become visible. Also, when you are affected by bad energy and your family becomes argumentative, what kind of feelings do you get? is it like pre-menstrual?
Scary, i too think a child of that age would be very unlikely to have the imagination to come up with the story of a boy blocking her on the stairs and to know the name Lucifer…Wow!
It is a creepy story isn’t it. I actually know these people, but i cannot say who it is as the person wants to remain anonymous in case this should ever be seen by the family.

eyepriestess- the best way i can describe the feelings i get are instant lightheadedness, angry thoughts. my daughter seems very affected also, she gets so angry and then begins to cry. its so frustrating.

as for whatever is in my house, i dont know what it is. it occurs often but not all the time. recently ive become more aware and pray for the thing to go away and try to tell it to back off and stop trying to intimidate me. and yes the feelings of anger are frightening, especially when my little girl is upset.
Have you seen Haunted’s post on TP ‘how to get rid of demons’? You could try it, you haven’t got anything to lose. If you just ignore this, whatever it is will get stronger. It’s feeding off your energy.
I was talking to Warrior who is having problems, we were talking about filling your home with religious artifacts, like crosses, pics of Mary, Jesus, etc and having bibles in all rooms. This makes the evil back off, if not fully, it does help.
Get some olive oil annointed, either by doing it yourself or going to your local church and asking for it to be done there. Plus ask the priest if he will come and bless your house.
The one thing all of us say that has been affected in this way, never ignore the situation and hope it will go away on its own.
There’s a question I would like to ask, how do you annoint olive oil yourself? I wonder if I should try that?
Hi Karen, i don’t really have time at the moment to go into it, but i will when i come back home later…promise!
Perhaps I could shed some light on this.
Anointing yourself with oil:
Basically get some oil and dip your finger tip in it. Smear it on your forhead and pray to Jesus. That is really all there is to it.
You can also anoint your house. Do the same thing as instructed above but smear it on everything that you have had happenings. Pray over each thing as you go. Something like, “Lord, I anoint this __, I pray your spirit to fill this house and this ____. I pray to encamp your angels about me, encamp your angels in this house, on my child. Protect us for anything that doesn’t belong to you. Anoint your children. Aniont the walls the floor, each time praying over it.
My suggestion is to find a minister that believes in the infilling of the Holy Spirit, Look and see if you can find a UPCI church. They are Pentecostals. These are deep praying people, they delve into the realm of the spirit unlike any other denomination. They pray in tongues and prophecy. They have seen sickness and diseases healed; even people being raised from the dead. They know how to touch God in a way no other church has. I promise you, if you have a United Pentecostal Preacher come to your home and pray over it, you WILL be delivered.

There is no power in crosses or Bibles or statues or images. The power is in prayer.
I’m very gratefull for this Liderien and thank you for telling us how to do this. I had it in my notepad pasted by a lady in TGT.
Myself, well, whatever people think, i feel good when i have a BIble under my pillow and a cross above my bed, which makes me feel better protected. Who knows for certain if this does not add extra protection. My supernatural nightmares are no longer as intense as they used to be.

I know what you mean about statues of false gods and false prophets mentioned in the Bible, but i cannot see how a cross could represent the same kind of meaning.

Through extended study of the Bible. There would be no way I could explain how I know this. It would take months to bring you to a greater understanding of the word of God in this capacity. If others don’t agree, I bid no argument here, but I also can’t sit by and let people hope in something that provides little in the way of relief from such evil and for people to continue to endure something so detrimental to their lives and souls. I have to speak out and give them the knowledge that I have to provide them answers that will free them completely. Forgive me if it may offend. It cannot be helped.
Let us look at it from a logical perspective instead.
The power is in the name of Jesus…or to put it another way, the power is in God. God is not in a statue, cross, nor in a book. To lend reverence to objects that does not hold the power is a mistake. The power only comes from God.
After the sacrifice Christ made for salvation, the Lord promised us his power through the gift of the Holy Ghost, therefore once you have received the gift, the power resides in you and your faith.
It is faith that regenerates the power God gives us.
“If you have the faith of a grain of mustard seed, you can say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and it will be done.”
It is our faith, our prayers, and our obedience that enables us to be free from satan and his dominion.
The Bible is a guide that God has given us, its the words that we allow to live in us that gives us the power.
Without the ground (our hearts) the seed cannot grow (the word of God).
It is liken unto a piece of food.
To set an apple on the counter, we can say that the apple provides nourishment.
However the apple itself cannot provide nourishment lying on the counter.
We must pick it up and ingest it for the nourishment to take place.
Does that make sense?
It is the same with the Bible. For it to sit around means nothing until we let it into our heart, and it is Gods word alive in us that makes the difference. If you don’t know the Bible and its words, you also don’t know the nourishment from the apple…as long as it sits on the counter.

Liderien, thank-you. Eyepriestess, that’s funny that you should mention that, cause once I asked a priest what he thought about having crosses for necklaces, he said there is nothing wrong with that ,he said it’s a daily reminder for us of God and Jesus!
P.S. Liderien, I don’t think i’ve ever seen a church like that here There’s the Catholics and the Jehovas Witness and a couple of mosques they don’t even have a synagouge here! I’m Roman Catholic
I agree completely with what you have said Liderien, but I still think that having Bibles and crosses around your home is an added deterrent for evil energy.
Would you have negative books lying around the house? like books on black magic or the occult. Just a ouija board lying around a house can cause problems, even though this is just a piece of cardboard. What i’m trying to say is, all these things are known to have attracted demons and negative dark energy, so why then if the opposite is present, such as Bibles does this not help in detracting these forces. I’m not saying having a Bible around is all you need.

Liderien, I know what you’re talking about and believe me I have read the Bible front and back at least 10 times in my life, in fact it is a refrence that I use everyday and try to read a least one passage a day, the only stange things that have happend to me in life are the stories that I wrote here, I have a picture of Jesus over my front door, Jesus said that he will bless ever home where a picture of Him is displayed and honored!
I had to go and ask Connie for the annointing advice again as i thought i had it in my notepad, but couldn’t find it. Connie has dealt with demons all her life. I can’t go into reasons why this started but she has had these problems for years. This is someone i respect very much and she has helped others to rid their house of demons too. I’ll also add, Connie is the person who advised me to place a Bible under my pillow when my dreams were bad. It may have been a coincidence that they subsided straight away, and of course it could just have been a comfort for me, which may have caused me to be less tense about going to sleep. Whatever the reason, the Bible helped me and has helped her too.
Here is the annointing advice i copied from her email:
” I usually pour a little bit of olive oil into a clean jar, but you can annoint the entire jar if you want to. I just wrap my hands around the jar and ask for God to annoint this oil in the name of Jesus, to annoint it with your holy power. God I know that you have power over all demons and I’m asking you to work through me to remove this demon from this house, let your power guide me and be with me. I ask you to bind it in the name of Jesus and cast it back into the lake of fire where it belongs.
This is pretty much the same prayer I say while I’m annointing the house to. The last part is anyway, except that as I do annoint the house, I thank God for binding the demon and sending it back to hell. I pray the whole time I’m doing this and keep thanking him. Keep telling him that I know that he has the power to do this.
Make sure you tell her to start at the back of the house or upstairs and leave an exit door for last. I always leave the front door as it’s way out and then annoint around it. I myself much rather dip my finger in the oil and make a complete unbroken line around every window and door as I leave the room. But, this can be kind of hard sometimes, so I just make absolutely sure that I put some of the oil in several places on all four sides of the windows and doors. “

This is all assuming that satan and God work in the same way. Which they do not. God does not work that way. God works in us and through us, not through things. There is no positive energy in book or crosses or pictures. Positive energy comes from the Lord and transfers to us if we follow his word.
The thing that the Bible is good for in lying around is the quick availability to pick it up and do some reading. What I am saying is, victory and over coming happens within us. But, just because you have the bible sitting on the table does not deter evil from entering the area. Once the entity does enter, picking it up and reading the word aloud will make the entity leave, especially if you use the name of Jesus.

Liderien, God commands Moses to make graven images in Exodus 25:16-20,26:1,31: God recognizes that images can help us in the worship of God Himself. It is the Catholic view that can look at both the commandments to have no other God besides Him and not ascribe divinity to graven images, but also shows that skillfull adornemtnt of images can also be put to use to bring more honored glory to Goc, with such statuary. We see elsewhere images are commanded by God to be made to even save people from death Numbers 21:7-9. I live in France.

Couldn’t the same be said for a church then in this case, as this is a material object too?

I believe that the Bible is a blessed object simply because of its content. Therefore, i believe it to hold some kind of deterrant over evil forces. As does a blessed house.

uh? completly contrived by the Catholic church it’s in the Bible, and being a temple of God also pertains to how well we take care of ourselves drinking, smoking ect……….
To understand the difference between the old testament and new is to understand how God relates to his people. After Christ was crucified, the veil in the temple was rent in two. Which signifies that we no longer go to temples to worship or feel his presence. There is so much more to explain to you about the dynamics of God and the things that transpired to bring us where we are today in relation to him. Again it would take months for you to grasp it. I will leave you with the passage about the veil being rent.

I’ve already grasped it! I felt God’s ultimate power and love when he saved me from a demon attack/possession. Since then i have followed my heart and what i advise comes from there and there only.
I still say that a Bible can have a strong deterrant against evil, especially when used with other means. Eg, prayer, blessings, annointing and filling your home with religious artifacts as is the case in churches.
The old testament is God’s word the new testament is of Jesus, The old testament is “old” there are parts which don’t pertain anymore, for example the vatician did away with having to eat fish on fridays
In the book of Exodus, is the description of the decorations of the Temple and the ark of the covenant. Which in the old testament is where the spirit of God dwelt. That became void after the crucicfiction of Christ. He paid the price of sin with his blood so that we would no longer be seperated from Him.
The ark was placed in what was called The Holiest of Holies. Only the priests could enter there, and the priest had to be without sin to enter, the priest practiced a sinfree life for a period of time. If you entered the Holiest of Holies and you had any kind of sin, you would be struck dead, so it was common practice that the robes of the priest we lined with bells. And the waist was tied with a long rope. When the priest entered (going past the veil that is mentioned in Matthew 27:51) the other priests would hold on to the robe, if the bells quit ringing, they would pull on the rope to bring out the dead body of the priest.
All of that changed after Christ died.

Liderien, maybe if we could give Karen time to find this. There are things I remember reading but cannot always put my finger on the right page at the right time.
I have studied the Bible too for many years, on and off all my life. Times many before i even believed in God i would debate with very religious friends i had back then and then after my attack, the Bible was studied intensely.
The message came to me loud and clear after my attack, I felt God’s love, not his wrath that is mentioned so often, but his love and peace.
I agree with you Eyepriestess. God’s love is it, because God is love.
I do not want to argue religion. Traditions are often hard to abandon, even in the face of truth.

I pray that one day you will understand what I am trying to convey, but you cant because it contradicts your traditions in religion. I did not study religion therefore am not bound to its limits or superstitions. When you stop following religion or a certain denomination, you will have a clearer undertstanding. Everyone must interpret the bible their own way, not through a sect of religious organization. God never designed religious organizations, man did that and it was patterned after the Roman’s and Greeks. Neither of which was God’s chosen people.
