Oh my gosh I am just crying reading that. What a beautiful story, they do say that dog is mans best friend; It is incrediable how the dog watched the burial and then slept on the grave every night!

Very cool and sad story from Scotland. I cried too but thats ok isnt it? If we dont cry thats the saddest thing of all.

Oh, i’m glad your washer got fixed!

My house is very old too, it has the tudor rose on the outside, so it was built in the 1500′s, but not sure what date as i rent. So far, i haven’t had many signs of ghosts apart from bangings when i first moved in, which scared the c*** out of me at first, lol. I think it was structural though.

I did encounter my first ever sleep paralysis here though, it happened big time once and then another time briefly.

the washer is fine now thanks to my boyfriend. there was a little ice in it blocking the drainage hose. i paid way to much for them to break down now! they are on a little added on back porch room that the basement stairs are behind. this house is 123 years old and the basement and foundation are starting to come apart. sooner or later we’re gonna have big problem. the house is one story and 1800 sq ft. and yes it has its haunted moments. tho there far and few between. i’ve seen them on the outside as well. we have seen a residule victorian woman and i’ve seen a shadow man. the man seemed to be wearing a t shirt and jeans from his outline. he was back lit by a sunny window with a blind and he was about 8 ft from me. i looked and wasn’t expecting it and looked back he was gone. other things and noises have happen so i’ll tell ya later!!

i did see the picture, i guess why they chose the white westie is because he was easier to see. as for the dog in new york, i’m sure there was one but it’s been so long that i don’t remember what he did, or when he was alive. i just remember some kind of plaque in central park. sorry!

Hossam, it is a great story and i’ve often thought of trying to use it on my site, then when i found there was a ghost story attached, i wrote this article straight away.
