I’m glad everyone has enjoyed my experience. To Mama’s Chick, I wasn’t really glad to move it was just time to upgrade my home. My dog on the other hand was delighted. To Mina, I don’t know if it helped by calling thier name. I’m not even sure if it was Mr. Hines. I just gave whatever it was that name. Looking back the whole experience is kinda funny.

Hi Chris: Mina here. I will tell my children this story (now that its halloween). But truly I admire your courage. It is like you know but you also have a busy life to live that you are willing to share your house when you are not there. I say this with all respect and I am not laughing! The room my children sleep in was built in 1906 and it is constantly making noises. I tell the boys its the scuarrels eating the dogs food outside their sliding glass door. Once a month though I choose to sleep in this bedroom sending my boys to sleep with dad in my bedroom. I witness things around dead time. So my question is: Does it help when you call them by their name? They do not like to be known do they?

I don’t know what was going on in your previous home.. but it must of been something.. for more than yourself to experience things happening..
I bet you were glad when you finally moved.. and your dog was too.

I’m so glad you commented Chris, it is quite a story you have there. My dad is not usually impressed by alot of stories, but yours really made him take notice.

Your poor dog, sorry she died, you certainly know about it when you lose a retriever, they just have something about them. My sister had one and he was so beautiful and such a wonderful character. She’ll never get over him.

For Howard to leave like that says alot too. I’ve heard of people leaving a house they own and going on to rent a house just to get away from a haunting. You just would not do that would you? unless something was terrorising you.

Hi, I’m Chris, the guy in the story. My experience was intresting. Linderien pretty much told you the whole ordeal. My ghost never did anything to harm me or scare me. It just seemed like “it” like to have a little fun. Everything that was lost was found. This experience was something I came to accept and lived with. I’m not sure if it was the ghost of Mr. Hines. I just started calling “Him” Mr. Hines because Mr. Hines died in the house. I felt that if “something” was there he should at least have a name.

Bentleigh (My old Golden Retriever) did not like what ever it was. She would refuse to go downstairs some nights and would just whine if I put her downstairs anyway. She usually ended up sleeping in the bathroom on those nights. Sometimes when we would be sitting in the living room, she would growl at the dining room. I just recently remembered that. My poor girl had to be put to sleep back in 2000.

My friend Howard bailed as soon as confirmed what he had experienced. I think his exact words were, “F that, I’m outta here.

I’m a pretty down to earth type of guy. I’m still not sure about a lot of things, but I’m sure about Mr. Hines.

Karen, My brother made the dream catcher that gave me. He was taught how to make them and some Indian jewellery by an old Indian woman that he looked after, after he retired and rented a small house behind her big house. He took her shopping and to her doctor appts. In exchange she gave him a lot of her Indian jewellery and feather and old arrow heads.She was in her ninties. When she died the son’s sold the houses, so he move out. While he lived there, he said that he would see women with long hair and gowns in his house at night. He moved to an apartment and took his Indian things with him. He gave me several items, including the dream catcher. I gave the neckalaces to my daughters and grandaughters. They haven’t had any paranormal experiences though. Yet! LOL

Nancy, really? Do you think that dream catchers really work? I was thinking of buying one. Don’t they have to be made by indians though in order for them to work? The ones here a probably made in china!

Skeptics: My husband has always been a skeptic. When I first started seeing and hearing things I didn’t tell him. In my story about Misty images. I started seeing these misty images that looked like they were trying to form into something. It scared me so bad that I covered my head and waited until they were gone. I didn’t tell my husband about it because he was a sketic. One night he woke me up and he was scared out of his wits. He told me he saw three women in our bedroom. They had long dark hair and flowing gowns. He said that they were levitating on my side of the bed. When he woke me up they vanished. Later he saw a woman and child and one time just a woman pulling a gown over her head. He moved out of the bedroom for awhile. I told them to leave, plus I threw out the dream catcher.I think they have left, because I haven’t seen the misty images for a long time. I don’t know why they came to my house for sure, but I think they attached theirselves to a dream catcher that my brother gave me, because he also saw something like that in his house in Oregon at one time. Now since we haven’t seen them for several months, my husband has become a sketic again and says he was just dreaming. LOL

what you said about the dog, well, it is possible that the ghost could have been scolding her…poor dog!

hi guys, now this here is just my opinion on Lideriens questions…

maybe the dog was afraid the old man ghost scolded her at times. who knows, my dog is afraid of my husband at times after he scolds him and then he gets over it.

the ghost walked around the table because he dosent know hes dead and was afraid to walk into it. and most of the activity occurred in the evening because the host, thinking he is still alive is living his life. like he is at work during the day or out and about, if that makes sense.

as for why things happened when chris was alone, who knows.
