I couldn’t find any statistics Kathy, but i found some info which explains it, so i copied and gave the source:

Well I was reluctant to write this but I believe that I may be a Spirtual person as well. My first time I AT’d was when I was 5 years old I was sleeping on the couch and left my body, looked down at my self and went outside. It was night and when I went outside It was very bright like when the sun is just rising in the morning. There was an abulance out at the next door neighbors house and a young man who I will not name was inside the ambulance, dead, an apparent suicide. And then I just reentered my body and woke up. I have had some other AT experiences where I wake up fom a dream but I’m still sleeping and can see my self and my fiance. I never knew what was happening until I read all of this, If anybody has any further info I am all ears. I have also had many ESP experiences and I seem to know what people are thinking just by looking at them. When my father passed away 6 years ago my mother called to tell me (my mother always called) and as soon as I answered my cell (she didn’t even say a word) I said to her Dad died. Well I’ll say it again I’m all ears.

Hi EP,

Yes.. it truly was an experience I will never forget and one I hope to have again someday.. A feeling like that stays with one forever..
I know what you mean about the physical self not feeling any emotions while out.. amazing isn’t it? Everyone astral travels when they sleep.. when we wake and remember being somewhere else.. doing whatever.. it is our etheral being leaving our physical self and actually doing it.. only people don’t realize that that is what is happening.. that they WERE astral traveling.. unless you recognize it for what it really is.. and if you do.. then you ‘can’ control it.. neat isn’t it?.heh.

There is so much imformation out there to learn about it.. and with the internet just at our fingertips..it makes it so much easier than going to a library and looking it up..

Hi Mama’s Chick, what a lovely experience for you, i wish i had the courage to try AT again, i know how easy it was for me to self induce it, but i got very frightened when i AT’d the first and only time i have done it. One thing that excited me so much about my brief experience, was the fact that all my thoughts and fears and emotions were there only in my etheral being, there was nothing in my shell of a body at all.

Hi Tonja,

I can understand your resistance on not believing in astral travel.. where you say you have never experienced it but have always wanted to..
Just because you haven’t acheived it.. doesn’t mean it isn’t real.. others including myself have.. many times.. so like I said before.. if you choose not to believe.. it is your given right..
You wanted an experience that would blow you away.. well here’s 1 for you..
A couple of years ago I had AT to a place that was to me.. paradise.. It was so beautiful and so surreal.. that I don’t believe it could be anywhere on this planet we call earth..
To try to put it into words is indescriable.. I was in awe of it’s beauty and surroundings.. and felt such a sense of peace that I wish I could of stayed there forever..When I returned.. I actually felt a yearning to go back..
I have never experienced anything quite like it again while AT.. and every night I still search for it.. I hope someday that I will return.. even if it’s for a few moments.. I just wish that everyone could see and feel what I did..
I also hope that you don’t give up on astral traveling Tonja.. it will happen honey.. but alot faster and if you help it along.. Read up on all the different techiques and methods on relaxing and exiting the body.. There’s even a method called binal beats that you listen to on headphones that helps the brain to achieve the effect that’s needed to leave your physical self.. I’ve never tried it but they say it has helped alot of people that has had trouble achieving AT on their own..

Just to answer the first part of your question when you say you have never AT before, i copied this from the comments above from ‘mama’s chick’: Some people can do it quite easily.. while others, it takes years of practice..
The thing is, don’t give up or become discouraged.. if it doesn’t happen the first few tries..
It can be an awesome experience and once you’ve achieved it.. you will want to do it again and again..
So don’t give up!

So far, there is no reports on here of anyone visiting celebs houses, but you have to remember that when you astral travel, you have entered another dimension to ours apparently, and people say that they see different colours and shapes. Also, when you AT, it’s hard to stay in complete control as you sometimes find yourself back in your body again. To self induce it is quite scary and you start to feel like you might see something that you don’t really want to, like an evil spirit or a demon. That’s what i felt like when i self induced AT. I’ve never done it since, i didn’t like the risk.

Ghost hunter (caretaker on TGT) gives a comment amongst these.

If anyone has managed to go anywhere like anonymous asks, it would be appreciated if you would tell us about it. Thanks!
