BORLEY RECTORY
Just to let you know that I have decided to go and visit Borley Rectory on Sunday 1st June 2009. I will let you all know what it is like and I will take some photos.
I did say a while ago in comments under the Borley Rectory story that I had decided not to go as I was warned the locals could be hostile, but I have changed my mind.
Update: Further visit planned 21st (sorry, said 20th before) June 2009.

Did you get to the rectory yesterday?
No unfortunately, will be going next week now. School hols with alot of protest.

I actually went to Sudbury yesterday to find Borley Rectory. I made the fatal error of taking my two girls and my grandson. I ended up in Borley and was hunting and hunting for Hall Road where the rectory was. Could i heck find it. I would have gone into one of the local pubs if i’d been on my own and asked about, but my grandson was kicking off too much. It was a hot day so i had to abandon the search and ended up at the fair on-route back home in a place near to the village of Claire.
I am going to go back again this week sometime, hopefully.
That’s too bad! I was looking forward to seeing some pictures. Maybe next time
I know caretaker, I was so naffed off! I tell you what though, that village of Borley is (and i mean this sincerely without trying to make this out more spooky) very spooky. Even my daughter said, ‘hey mum i hope it isn’t down THIS road’ as we passed really isolated areas. Each one was so eerie and isolated. We even took a photo of a tree that was weird looking.
Anyway, will do this!
Just tell those hostile residents that they should be used to it by now. Or really freak them out and say you’re going to film a movie!
The way everyone is talking about hostile residents I get this image of the towns people holding burning torches and chasing you out of town! ha
Ha ha, that wouldn’t surprise me Karen, it was such a spooky place, even though it was a really sunny day. I will be going back there definately on the 21st of this month to take photos.
ohh the longest night of the year, can’t wait i’m looking forward to seeing the pictures too! I wish there were places like that around here.
There probably is places like that near you. Check out on the internet the most haunted areas of France. I’ve never done that, so that could be really interesting…
I looked it up and the only thing it shows are those catacombs in Paris, and I’ m not going in those! ha
I am very anxious to find out how this goes. Are you going to take video?

I’m taking a camera and my moble which has a camcorder in it, but i’m not too sure how to upload a video from a phone, any ideas?
So should have gotten some software with your phone to synchronize with your computer. If so, you can “explore” your phone much the same way as an external jump drive. Basically it would be like opening a folder and then moving it to another folder.
What is the make and model of your phone?
It’s my daughters phone with the camcorder, she was given it by her dad… just the phone and no attachments.
It’s ok, we’ll get it filmed somehow, my cousin has a camcorder which I could borrow.

can you tell me how to hook up mine? It’s a samsung uh6OO it came with a disk and the ubs cable but my computer or the phone is not compatible???Which is weird cause i installed the disk for the phone and then when i plug the phone in i get nothing except that i’m connect and i tried to go into programs and the installation of the disk doesn’t show up!
put your disc in again and save the download to your desktop. Once downloaded, you should be able to install it from there. Usually when installing software, you can choose where you save your installation. Save it to your desk top. Let me know after you get that done what happens. Send me an email instead of posting here, that way we can stay on topic on this forum

Update to Borley Rectory: I have been today and got pics, but I have only just got back in and the photos need uploading onto my daughters laptop and then sending to mine. This will be done tomorrow when she returns from school as it’s too late now for her to do all this for me.

Ok, trouble uploading, my daughter’s laptop keeps crashing when we try and upload, sorry about this, but i don’t know what to do at present. We will get this happening asap!
